Owned and managed by the Shaw family, CARPET RUNNERS is a leading d2c business in a sector that typically uses digital as a facet of the conversion or awareness journey. Not so with CARPET RUNNERS, a pure-play eCommerce business selling made-to-measure carpets around the globe from their Lincolnshire HQ.


DASHMARK was tasked by CARPET RUNNERS to formalise their digital and eCommerce processes – initially within marketing. The Shaw family, led by brothers Ben and Myles, have incredible instincts for both the needs of the customer and the barriers to conversion their business faced from being pure-play. It was clear from the outset this was a truly customer-centric business.

An idiosyncrasy we identified early in the process of working with CARPET RUNNERS was the misalignment between the excellent customer service provided and the customer experience offered pre-purchase. At the core of this problem lay a lack of investment in eCommerce trading and a fit-for-purpose marketing strategy. In turn, DASHMARK helped CARPET RUNNERS revaluate the future of their CMS and WMS systems.

DASHMARK became part of the CARPET RUNNERS eCommerce trading division – acting as an integrated senior leadership team. Not only did DASHMARK revitalise and tangibly bolster the online and offline experience of the CARPET RUNNERS customer, we actively managed the client’s marketing agency to consolidate and disseminate best practices.
